We suggest that you take a walk and explore Castelo de Vide ... contemplating the beautiful green landscapes through the pedestrian paths or mountain biking. You can also practice geocaching and hire bicycles in the tourism office, in order to cycle through the streets of this friendly village.

In Culture

As a cultural tour and being the architectonic complex of Castelo de Vide very rich, you can visit the castle of Castelo de Vide that represent a reference in the local identity of its inhabitants, the emblematic church of Nossa Senhora da Penha and, among other, the museum of sacred art, the medieval village, the  S. Roque Fort, the walls that involve the village, the jewish quarter, the medieval synagogue and the ogival doors and windows from the XIV and XV centuries..

You can taste the pleasures of Alentejo's gastronomy in the restaurants of Castelo de Vide ... sarapatel, tomato special sauces, "alhada de cação", "migas" with ribs, pork feet with coriander sauce, traditional sausages ... and also delicious desert like the famous boleima,pastery cake, "Finto cake" and other specialities ... always accompanied by a wonderful Alentejo wine.

You can also enjoy this gastronomy on your terrace or deck, in Monte das Mariolas!
